$850K Ghostzapper Filly Sells for Denali in Book 1 Session 4 of Keeneland September Sale

Denali Stud (Craig and Holly Bandoroff, Agent) was ranked 5th out of 56 on the leading consignor list for a total of $2,320,000 and an average of $386,667. Denali was also ranked 5th in the top five consignors for book 1, sessions 1-4 total.

Denali sold six of the eight yearlings that were sent through the ring during book 1 session 4 on September 13th.

Hip 979, a dark bay or brown filly by Ghostzapper out of Grand Glory sold for $850,000 to buyer Steven W. Young, Agent. Ghostzapper was ranked 13th out of 39 on the leading sire list for session 4. Three yearlings sold in this session for a total of $1,340,000 and an average of $446,667.

Hip 793, a chestnut colt by American Pharoah out of Concinnous was sold for $600,000 to buyer China Horse Club/ Maverick Racing. American Pharoah was ranked 6th out of 39 on the leading sire list for this session, with four yearlings sold during this portion of the sale for a total of $2,200,000 and an average of $550,000. Concinnous is also dam of two-time Grade 1 winner and millionaire Iotapa.

Hip 866, a dark bay or brown filly by Medaglia d’Oro out of the unraced Storm Cat mare Egyptian Queen sold for $400,000 to buyer T. McGreevy, Agent for Michael C. Stinson. Medaglia d’ Oro was ranked top sire out of 39 on the leading sire list for this session, with seven yearlings sold for a total of $6,900,000 and an average of $985,714.
