Tuesday, September 13, 2011
Vivien Malloy, owner of Edition Farm, was named Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) New York State Breeder of the Year for the second time in four years, having also won the award in 2007.

The awards for 28 top state breeders were announced at the 26h Annual Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association’s National Awards Dinner held on Friday September 9 at Gainesway Farm in Lexington. Mrs. Malloy was also voted NYTB’s New York Breeder of the Year for 2010.

Mrs. Malloy has been breeding thoroughbreds successfully for three decades on her two farms, Edition Farm in Waccabuc, where she lives, and Edition Farm North, a 180-acre farm in Hyde Park.

In addition to stakes-winners Mine Tonight, Minetonightsfirst, Bayou Blurr, Mistah, Then She Laughs, Kiss the Pro, Cliffie and Zow, Mrs. Malloy is the breeder of bred A Shin Forward, who last year became a Grade 1 winner in Japan, and second highest New York-bred earner ($3,374,068).
