With a catalog 24.4% larger than 2010’s, Fasig-Tipton saw gains on every measure:28.9% increase in number through the ring31.9% increase in number sold83% increase in total sales38.7% increase in average price 16.7% increase in median priceThe buy back rate of 32.2% was on par with 33.8% in 2010. With a great interest from a variety of buyers, from end-users, to pinhookers, to New York-based folks, to non-New York based folks, Boyd Browning of Fasig-Tipton commented, “It was a fantastic sale.” Denali was the leading consignor by far with total sales of $1,007,00 for 11 sold in the ring, two more sold privately afterwards, to result in 81.25% sold for our clients. Leader by average with three or more sold, Denali’s consignment averaged $91,545, nearly double the sale average of $54,328. Craig Bandoroff of Denali Stud added, “Our clients have been selling with us for quite a while at this sale, we are fortunate to be able work with them, and I couldn’t be more pleased for them, NY breeders have been waiting for things to turn around and there is certainly a lot of optimism as VLTs at Aqueduct will become reality this fall.”
