Restless Rider Claims First G1 Win in Darley Alcibiades

Summary- Paulick Report

Denali Stud is proud to follow the horses we foaled, raised and sold as they advance in their racing careers! This past weekend we had a great Graded Stakes win from our very own RESTLESS RIDER who took the Darley Alcibiades (G1) at Keeneland for two-year-old fillies. Bred by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings LLC in Kentucky, and racing for owner Fern Circle Stables and Three Chimneys Farm, she was a $150K Keeneland September sales graduate consigned by Denali Stud. Congratulations to the owners and all of their connections!

RESTLESS RIDER, a gray or roan filly by Distorted Humor out of Silky Serenade scored her first Grade 1 win after previously coming in second in the Spinaway Stakes (G1) at Saratoga in early September. The daughter of Distorted Humor ridden by Brian Hernandez for trainer Kenny Mc Peek, took command rounding the far turn and glided over the wire a three- length winner.

“Kenny came up with a great game plan just to get her around the first turn in good order,” Hernandez said. “Luckily we have a good filly that was able to do everything we needed her to do. Once we got in our position going around the first turn, I was pretty confident in her because she’s something special.”

Her win earned her a spot in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Churchill Downs this year. Out of just four career starts so far, she boasts earnings of over $401K. Restless Rider is one of two winners from her dam, a half-sister to multiple Grade 2 winner Private Vow.

We look forward to seeing more of her in the winner’s circle in the future!

Chocolate Kisses, a two-year- old filly by Candy Ride (ARG) out of Brownie Points took 4th in the Alcibiades for owner Debby M. Oxley and Trainer Mark Casse. She was purchased for $410K in the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Sale by John Oxley, consigned by Denali Stud. This was her first attempt at a Graded Stakes win out of four career starts, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this filly as well!
