Come Saturday afternoon, the focus of an industry will longingly will turn from somber economic prospects to the warmth and promise of Gulfstream Park. All eyes will be focused on the seemingly invincible one—the horse, the myth, the legend himself, Uncle Mo.

The sport’s once and perhaps future king is expected to make his three year-old debut on Saturday in the ungraded Timely Writer Stakes. In that one-turn mile, his competition will pale in comparison to the legendary horses he has been compared with since his romp in the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) in November.
