Uncle Mo Puts in First Work of 2011

Uncle Mo, the undefeated juvenile male champion of 2010, worked for the first time this year Jan. 30 at the Palm Meadows Training Center in South Florida. The son of Indian Charlie  — Playa Maya, by Arch, went three furlongs in :39.95 on a fast track.
 
Uncle Mo is the leading contender heading toward the May 7 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), having won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I) in impressive fashion. Prior to the Breeders’ Cup, Uncle Mo won the Champagne Stakes (gr. I).
