2008 PREAKNESS PLACED GRAD RETURNS WITH NY STAKES WIN

ICABAD CRANE, third to Big Brown in the 2008 Preakness Stakes, returned to the winner’s circle in New York’s Kings Point H. The 1 1/16-mile stakes included a field of six. The Denali sales graduate was bred by Gallagher’s Stud and races for Earle I. Mack.

Tucked in under a hold by Gabriel Saez, ICABAD CRANE ran in hand along the backstretch, split horses while angling three wide in the turn and then surged to the front under left hand urging and drew clear for a 1 ¾-length win.
