ANIMAL KINGDOM ‘ANGRY AND HUNGRY’ AFTER LOSS TO POINT OF ENTRY

Sunday, February 10, 2013

Graham Motion reports that 5-year-old Animal Kingdom is “angry and hungry” following his loss to Point of Entry in Saturday’s G1 Kitten’s Joy Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap.

“I thought it was a good run. I think Joel (Rosario) was worried the speed was a little slow, so he moved a little early, which cost us the race,” Motion told The Telegraph.

Motion suspects that going to the front early caught the 2011 Kentucky Derby winner off-guard and has left him frustrated. Animal Kingdom is still scheduled to ship to Dubai for the $10 million Dubai World Cup in March. No word on who will ride the horse in Dubai.
