DENALI RANKS AMONG KEENELAND LEADERS

After five days of selling, Denali consignments for Books 1 & 2 at Keeneland rank among the top sellers. Opening night Denali sold hip 4 for WinStar, a Distorted Humor colt out of Rockcide, the dam of RULE and half-sister to FUNNY CIDE.Shadwell Estate Co. went to $550,000, making him the eighth highest colt of the session. Also selling Sunday was a $350,000 Awesome Again colt to Goldmark Farm.On Monday night the Smart Strike colt out of Wonder again went for $300,000 to Nobutaka Tada. Overall in Book 1 Denali ranked eighth by gross sales with four yearlings totaling $1,450,000, our average of $362,500, was third among consignors with four or more sold.

Selling all three days of Book 2, Denali sold 18 of 23, ranking ninth by gross sales in the book at $2,202,000. Day three we sold three colts, each for $200,000, providing us with a solid foundation to build upon the next two days. Day four we sold two Medaglia d’Oro colts, one for $250,000 and one for $200,000 to Amerman Racing and Adena Springs respectively and ranking us among the session leaders. The fifth day proved to be our best with a Tapit colt selling for $375,000 to Aisling Duignan and our Street Sense filly out of Pretty Meadow sold for $290,000.
