Bred by Berkshire Stud, the NY-bred son of Sky Mesa was sold by Denali at Fasig-Tipton’s Saratoga Sale in August of 2009 for $140,000 to Dogwood Stable. SKY MUSIC rallied late to get up by a head going 6 ½f in his Belmont bow on Oct. 3. Ambitiously spotted here in the 1m Restrainor S., the Dogwood colorbearer raced toward the back through an opening quarter in :2329 after exiting from the one stall. With Ramon Dominguez aboard, the dark bay made a wide sweeping move on the turn for home, and came charging down the stretch on his wrong lead to win for fun, He becomes the 75th stakes winner for Cot Campbell’s operation. The two-year-old is undefeated in two starts and raises his earnings to $61,800 with this 1 mile win by 3 ¾ lengths.
