Fasig-Tipton February sale preview

The catalog for the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Winter Mixed sale is now online, with Denali Stud offering a total of 23 lots at the Feb. 9-10 auction.

The Sunday session, which will offer hips 1-176, will begin at 3 p.m. ET., while the Monday session, which will offer hips 177-522, will begin at 10 a.m.

Denali’s line-up includes a fine selection of broodmares in foal to young stallions such as Trappe Shot, whose first foals are 2-year-olds of 2014; Run Away and Hide, sire of three graded stakes winners in his 2013 second crop; and Wilburn, whose first crop are yearlings this year.

Another exciting Denali listing is one of the first 2-year-olds by Quality Road, one of the most dynamic runners of the past decade, The colt, hip No. 126, is out of multiple stakes winner Dansetta Light (who Denali sells as hip No. 125), who is a half-sister to Grade 1 Ancient Title Breeders’ Cup S. winner Captain Squire.
