ANIMAL KINGDOM GETTING READY TO RUMBLE

Team Valor International’s G1 Kentucky Derby hero Animal Kingdom is ready to resume training after spending 60 days on the sidelines. The chestnut had undergone surgery June 30 to repair a hairline fracture in his left hock, and X-rays taken Friday indicated that the injury had healed. The 3-year-old will begin on the Aquatred at Fair Hill Equine Therapy Center for this month, and is expected to jog through October before picking up the pace in November. His connections are eyeing a trip to the G1 Dubai World Cup at Meydan in March.
