Working seven furlongs over the Hollywood Park turf course on June 5, Bourbon Bay recorded a time of 1:26.80 in preparation for Saturday’s G1 Charles Whittingham Memorial H. “He went well, reported trainer Neil Drysdale after the drill. Drysdale, a former Whittingham assistant, has won the race named after the legendary trainer six times. He last won in 2008 with Artiste Royal, who, like Bourbon Bay, was owned by David and Jill Heerensperger.
