DAY FOUR AT KEENELAND STARTS WITH DENALI
Hip 743, f Malibu Moon Evangelizer, by Saint Ballado
This Mar. 12 foal is a full sister Worship the Moon, 3rd Matron S.-G2. Their dam Evangelizer is out of G3 winner Religiosity, and is a half-sister to Canadian champion two-year-old filly Knights Templar and For All Seasons, stakes winner and G1 placed. “The only bad thing about her is that she’s the first horse thorough the ring” said Denali’s Craig Bandoroff. “Other than that, she’s a really nice, pretty filly. She’s got a lot of quality and is very strong.”
This filly sold for $280,000 to Cheyenne Stables, LLC
Hip 872, c Dixie Union-Joyful, by Distorted Humor
The first foal from a young track-record-setter, this colt is by the same sire as this year G1 Belmont S. winner Union Rags. His dam Joyful is a half to a pair of stakes horses, including G2 Louisiana Derby winner Fifty Stars. “He’s a big, rugged horse and looks very athletic,” said Bandoroff. “He’s the last of the Dixie Unions, and he looks like the goods.”
This colt sold for $310,000 to Donegal Racing/Jerry CrawfordVow.
