DENALI TO SELL GRADED STAKES WINNER DON’T FORGET GIL AT FASIG-TIPTON

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

On behalf of owner Alan Brodsky, Craig Bandoroff of Denali Stud announced today that graded stakes winner Don’t Forget Gil has been retired from racing and is entered in the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Mixed Sale on November 7.

The four-year-old filly by Kafwain is out of the Mt. Livermore mare Livermore Leslie and was bred in NY by Jonathan Thorne. Don’t Forget Gil has won $370,737 with a record of 19 4-3-4. A debut winner at two at Belmont she went on to win the East View S. at Aqueduct that same year. At three, she won the Florida Oaks-G3 and placed in five additional stakes, including running second by a neck to Funny Moon in the Grade I Coaching Club of America Oaks after being stuck in traffic until the sixteenth pole.

In 2010, Don’t Forget Gil won the Wayward Lass S. and was third in the Saratoga Dew S. on September 3. Bandoroff commented, “We are very happy to offer this broodmare prospect from Mr. Brodsky, Don’t Forget Gil ran 17 times in stakes races, she put her heart out there every time and I think she will pass that on to her foals.” For further information contact Craig Bandoroff at Denali Stud, (859) 987-6212.
