NYTB HORSE OF THE YEAR, BROODMARE OF THE YEAR, AND TWO FOREIGN SWS-ALL DENALI SALE GRADUATES

The New York Thoroughbred Breeders honored the state-bred divisional champions of 2009 at their annual banquet held at the Gideon Putnam Hotel.

HAYNESFIELD – Horse of the Year and Champion 3-year-old male of 2009.
A Denali farm and sale graduate Haynesfield won the Discovery H.-G3 and three other New York stakes in 2009. Foaled and raised at Denali, he was bred by Barry Weisbord and Margaret Santulli, and sold at Keeneland September for $100,000. Haynesfield has career earnings of $417,681 for Turtle Bird Stable

NOTHING SPECIAL-Broodmare of the Year 2009.
Boarded at Denali when Haynesfield was conceived, foaled, raised and sold, Nothing Special was also sold by Denali at the 2008 Keeneland November sale for $50,000 to Phyllis Adair for breeders Barry Weisbord and Margaret Santulli,
