Bred by Gallaghers Stud and sold at Keeneland September by Denali, SAINT PIERRE is a half brother to multiple Grade I stakes winner SPAIN ($3,540,542), multiple graded stakes winner PUERTO BANUS ($380,410), graded stakes winner FANTASTIC SPAIN ($362,208) and stakes winner PATH OF THUNDER ($246,170). SAINT PIERRE was keen when eighth in his debut over a mile at Kempton on Aug. 4, and was sent off at 8-1 in the 7f maiden at Lingfield on Sept 14. SAINT PIERRE got the lead soon after the start and despite drifting right in the stretch, the bay found extra when challenged by Zip Lock (Invincible Spirit), and held on to best that rival by a neck. SAINT PIERRE is trained by Luca Cumani and races for J. Barton & C Pizarro.
