THREE SALE GRADS VIE FOR NY-BRED CHAMPIONSHIP HONORS

The New York Thoroughbred Breeders announced the finalists and NY turf writers will vote to determine the winners of New York-bred divisional championships to be announced at the April 12 awards banquet.

HAYNESFIELD – Champion 3-year-old male nominee
A Denali farm and sale graduate Haynesfield won the Discovery H.-G3 and three other New York stakes in 2009. Foaled and raised at Denali, he was bred by Barry Weisbord and Margaret Santulli, and sold at Keeneland September for $100,000. Haynesfield has career earnings of $417,681 for Turtle Bird Stable

YOU GO WEST GIRL – Champion Older Female & Champion Turf Female nominee John Hettinger Stakes Winner You Go West Girl was sold by Denali for Gallagher’s Stud at Keeneland September 2005.
